The mediator has no authority to impose a decision; nothing will be decided until all parties agree to it.
*If additional time is needed to continue the mediation, the mediator will review options with the parties.
Once mediation has been scheduled all parties will be sent a confirmation letter specifying the time, date and location of the mediation. Additionally, parties will be sent the Rules of Mediation and a questionnaire to be completed prior to the mediation. Parties will also receive an invoice for the mediation. Payment can be made by check payable to LK Mediation Services LLC and will be collected at mediation.
If the mediation is cancelled more than 24 hours before the agreed upon mediation date we will work with you to re-schedule at no charge. If, however, the mediation is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the time of mediation for reasons other than an emergency or illness, and we cannot fill the date with other work, each party requesting the cancellation will be charged 50% of the total mediation fee.
